Dr. Galindo is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Galindo grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she received a degree in Chemical Engineering. She attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for medical school and completed internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
She spent a few years in El Paso, Texas working in private practice hospital medicine and was an assistant professor at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, Dr. Galindo became board certified in Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Galindo is passionate about providing quality care and advocating for her patients. On her time off, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys riding her Peloton and traveling.
Dr. Slovik is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Slovik grew up in El Paso, Texas, Saint Simons Island, Georgia and Ruidoso, New Mexico. He attended the University of New Mexico where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico and completed residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he met Dr. Galindo. They married in 2018.
Dr. Slovik worked as a private practice hospitalist in El Paso, Texas after residency and then as an assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His time in hospital medicine has made him passionate about preventing mild illnesses from becoming serious illnesses which require hospitalization.
When he is not working, Dr. Slovik enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, building computers, and playing computer games.
